Submission guidelines
The EasyChair submission system will be open from October 1st, 2022 until November 30th (extended to December 16th).
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
- Working papers: authors are required to submit an abstract (400-600 words) and, if accepted, to submit a full paper (max. 10 pages) later before the conference;
- Practitioner paper: this is a special track for papers (co-)authored by non-academics. Like working papers, the initial submission is an abstract and, in case of acceptance, a full paper (max. 10 pages);
- Competitive papers: authors should directly submit a full paper (max. 15 pages) following the IPSERA template.
Prepare abstract (Working and Practitioner papers)
Authors are invited to submit abstracts of 400-600 words. The abstract should give an outline of the final paper, indicating the paper’s merits and relevance to the conference scope, a brief account of the results, and the conclusions. The required language is English, and all submissions are made electronically to the IPSERA online submission system on the EasyChair website. All submitted abstracts will be subject to peer-review by the scientific committee. To increase quality and minimize the risk of bias, the review process is double-blinded. To allow this, no name of the authors should be included in the full paper manuscript to be reviewed. Authors are to be added to the final version of the camera-ready paper.
Prepare full paper
All authors must use the IPSERA template (click to download) for their full papers. The required language is English, and all submissions are made electronically. Submit the paper according to the deadline as late submissions will not be considered in the review process. Do not forget to activate and use spell-check in the word template before you send in the full paper.
A paper will not be presented at the conference nor published in the proceedings without an associated early bird registration by the corresponding author.
Competitive paper (max 15 pages)
For competitive papers, please observe that the full paper is to be submitted directly, no abstract submission is needed. The full paper should be submitted by the IPSERA online submission system on the EasyChair website. Please observe the slight change from previous years - the 15 page limit is now excluding references and appendixes. All submitted competitive papers will be subject to peer-review by the scientific committee. You are expected to revise based on their feedback and then submit a camera-ready paper. To increase quality and minimize the risk of bias, the review process is double-blinded. To allow this, no name of the authors should be included in the full paper manuscript to be reviewed. Authors are to be added to the final version of the camera-ready paper.
Working papers (max 10 pages)
The full paper should be submitted by the IPSERA online submission system on the EasyChair website by updating your previous abstract submission. Authors are to be added to the final version of the camera-ready paper.
Practitioner papers (max 10 pages)
The full paper should be submitted by the IPSERA online submission system on the EasyChair website by updating your previous abstract submission. Authors are to be added to the final version of the camera-ready paper. Practitioners also have the option to opt out from submitting a paper to the conference proceedings and instead just present orally at the conference. The presentation will not be included in the conference program without an associated early bird registration by the corresponding author.
